Resilience engineering in a microservice landscape
Attend my talk at GOTO to learn how we, the largest online retail platform in the Netherlands and Belgium, achieve fault tolerance. The bol.com website depends on dozens of services that might fail at any time. We don’t want this to affect our customer experience. I will discuss the applied resilience techniques we use via a live demo to show how they can save your day as well. We will dive into the code and I will show you how to apply these techniques, using the open source Hystrix library. Finally, I will share our experiences from applying Hystrix to our code base and provide insight into our operational learnings.
