Resilience engineering in a microservice landscape by Maurice Zeijen:During this talk, you will learn how the largest online retail platform in the Netherlands achieves fault tolerance. I will discuss why resilience is important and I will demonstrate how applying resilience techniques, like bulk heading, load shedding and circuit breakers, can save your day as well. Finally, I will share our experiences from applying these techniques at bol.com.

Maurice has over 10 years of experience as a Java software engineer. He has worked on and maintained a wide variety of software, including the bol.com webshop, backend applications, middleware solutions, big data processing and many different kinds of microservices.

He joined bol.com in 2012, where he is now a hands-on software architect, specialized in resilience engineering.

The Dutch police and DevOps by Brian EngelBrian will take you into the world of the Dutch police and how they've adopted DevOps with the roadmap, all the challenges they had to overcome, the tools and how they deal with incidents in production.

Brian is a Test automation and BI test professional and has worked several years for the Dutch police on a contracting basis.
